Performing Firmware Updates

Keeping your Atmocube devices up-to-date with the latest firmware is crucial for ensuring optimal performance and access to new features. 

Below, you will find detailed instructions on how to update your device's firmware using either the Atmocube Dashboard Web App or a USB flash drive.

To check the latest available firmware update for your device, refer to this page: Firmware Versions and Release Notes

Via the Atmocube Dashboard Web App:

  1. Access Your Dashboard Account: Go to your Atmocube dashboard account at https://atmocube.app/
  2. Navigate to Devices: Open the “Devices” tab using the menu on the left-hand side.
  • All devices registered in the dashboard will be listed, with their firmware versions displayed in the Version column.
  1. Check for Updates:
  • To perform a check for all devices at once, click the "Check for updates" button.
  • To perform a check for an individual device, use the "Edit device" button under the Actions column.
  1. Update Firmware:
  • If an update is available, click "Start Update" to start the process. 
  • During the update, all Atmocube LEDs will become solid yellow. The process can take up to 3 minutes.
  • Once complete, the device will resume normal function.

Via USB:

For performing firmware updates via USB, you will require the firmware files from ATMO. Contact us for access to these files.

  1. Prepare a USB flash drive:
  • Format a USB flash drive with a FAT file system.
  • Download the "mcu1.bin" and "mcu2.bin" files provided by ATMO.
  • Copy the files onto the USB drive.
  1. Update Process:
  • Disconnect the power cable from the Atmocube.
  • Insert the USB flash drive into the USB-A port.
  • Reconnect the power cable.
  • All Atmocube LEDs will become solid yellow to indicate the update has begun. The process can take up to 3 minutes.
  • Once complete, the device will resume normal function.

Factory Reset:

To perform a factory reset to the production firmware, follow the steps at Factory Reset.
