This guide explains how to connect the Atmocube to a Wi-Fi network using a USB flash drive.
Before attempting to connect the Atmocube to the Wi-Fi network, make sure the device is turned on. If the Wi-Fi connection is not available, the network indicator will flash blue, indicating that the Atmocube is ready to be connected to the Wi-Fi.
The Atmocube supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks with WPA/WPA2/WPA3 encryption. The Atmocube also supports connection to unencrypted Wi-Fi networks via the Atmocube Wi-Fi setup application, currently only on Android.
WPA-Enterprise Wi-Fi networks are currently not supported.
Atmocube supports connection to hidden Wi-Fi networks except hidden networks on channel 12 and 13.
For security, it is recommended to use a password-protected Wi-Fi network.
Please ensure that the USB flash drive is formatted with the FAT file system.
To reset the Wi-Fi settings, please follow the instructions here.
Step 1
Generate a config file with the Wi-Fi network settings using the Atmocube configuration tool and download the file.
Note: Choose the correct model number for the Atmocube from the drop-down menu on the configuration page. The Atmocube model number (SKU) is on the back of the device.
Step 2
Save the config.json file to the root of a USB flash drive formatted with the FAT file system.
Step 3
Disconnect Atmocube from the power source.
Step 4
Insert the USB flash drive into the USB slot in Atmocube.
Step 5
Re-connect Atmocube to the power source.
Step 6
Once the Atmocube is turned on, the config.json file will be accessed from the USB flash drive.
If the configuration is successful, the power and Wi-Fi indicators will turn solid green.
