Atmocube supports local data storage using a USB drive. By connecting a FAT-formatted USB drive to the USB-A port on the back of the device, Atmocube can store air quality data directly as a CSV file. This feature provides a convenient way to collect data locally, without relying on an internet connection, or a dashboard account.
How to Use USB Data Storage
- Prepare the USB Drive:
- Format your USB drive to FAT.
- Ensure the drive has sufficient storage space for the data.
- Insert the USB Drive:
- Plug the USB drive into the USB-A port on the back of the Atmocube.
- Data Storage:
- Atmocube will automatically detect the USB drive and begin storing AQ data as a CSV file. The Power LED will turn purple when USB data storage is active. Refer to LED Indicators
- The CSV file is updated continuously with the latest readings.
- Retrieve the Data:
- Remove the USB drive from the device and connect it to your computer.
- Open the CSV file to view the recorded data. The file is saved with the name: <DeviceID>.csv
Key Points to Note
- The USB drive must be FAT-formatted; other formats will not be recognized.
- Ensure your device is running the following firmware versions or later: 2.1.2.1 for BF2-E/BFCO2-E SKUs and 1.9.1.28 for BF1/BW SKUs
Refer to: Performing Firmware Updates and Firmware Versions and Release Notes.
- USB data storage is enabled by default but can be disabled in the Security tab via custom configuration. Make sure it’s re-enabled before using this feature.
- Data stored on the USB drive is separate from the cloud or dashboard storage. You can use cloud storage and USB storage in parallel if needed.
